2024-2025 Bus Rider Registration
ALL bus riders (new and returning) are required to complete bus rider registration in order to receive transportation services for the 2024-2025 school year.
Bellville ISD will use SMART tag™ for the 2024-2025 school year.
When signed up with SMART tag™ App you will be able to:
- Set up guardians (those people that your 2nd grade and younger students may get off the bus with)
- Receive notification 10 minutes prior to the bus arriving at the stop
- Receive notification if the bus is delayed due to traffic, road conditions, accident, etc.
- Transportation can better assist you in locating your student in the event that they did not use the expected mode of transportation.
Setting Up Your SMART tag™ App
We kindly ask for your assistance in ensuring a safe bus experience for your student by reviewing the Bus Rider Handbook with them before they board the school bus.
We take our students safety very serious. To ensure we can account for all students and their designated drop-off locations, any parent wishing for their child to ride to another campus or the Boys & Girls Club must complete the Shuttle Request Form.
Click on the appropriate form below and complete in its entirety before clicking submit.

Driving a District vehicle
We take the safety of our students and staff very seriously, all staff that wish to drive a district vehicle must be approved by the Director of Transportation yearly. We will review your driving record in accordance with the districts, state and federal MVR policy.
As a best practice for safety students will be transported in a school bus or activity bus that meets the safety standards of a school bus and specifications for the state of Texas.
SUVS and other vehicles that do not meet the safety standards of a school bus will be utilized for district operations and staff travel.
Please fill out the DL Record Review Form and submit it to the Transportation department. All requests must be submitted at least one week prior to the trip departure date. Vehicles will not be issued out to anyone that has not been approved by the Director. We recommend having a back up driver in case the primary driver is not approved to drive.
Approval status is only for that school year regardless of submission date. Approval must be requested annually. Submission is not approval, approval will only be granted once the form has been returned, filled out correctly and the MVR has been reviewed.
